Quantum localization corrections from the Bethe–Salpeter equation

چکیده

We investigate coherent matter wave transport in isotropic 3D speckle potentials by using the Bethe–Salpeter equation and self-consistent theory of localization. This model constitutes an efficient tool to properly evaluate corrections Boltzmann diffusion taking into consideration quantum interference terms between multiple-scattering paths. calculate analytically numerically static current density, density states, dipolar contribution reduced coefficient. Our results reveal that diffusive transport, known as weak localization may not only lead shift above quantities but affect also position mobility edge.

Einstein equation with quantum corrections reduced to second order.

We consider the Einstein equation with first-order (semiclassical) quantum corrections. Although the quantum corrections contain up to fourth-order derivatives of the metric, the solutions which are physically relevant satisfy reduced equations which contain derivatives no higher than second order. We obtain the reduced equations for a range of stress-energy tensors. These reduced equations are...

The leading quantum corrections

I describe the treatment of gravity as a quantum effective field theory. This allows a natural separation of the (known) low energy quantum effects from the (unknown) high energy contributions. Within this framework, gravity is a well behaved quantum field theory at ordinary energies. In studying the class of quantum corrections at low energy, the dominant effects at large distance can be isola...

Quantum corrections from nonresonant WW scattering

An estimate is presented of the leading radiative corrections to low energy electroweak precision measurements from strong nonresonant WW scattering at the TeV energy scale. The estimate is based on a novel representation of nonresonant scattering in terms of the exchange of an effective scalar propagator with simple poles in the complex energy plane. The resulting corrections have the form of ...

Non-local corrections to the Dirac equation

The Dirac equation is not semisimple. We therefore construct it as a contraction of a simple theory. The underlying simple structure is necessarily purely algebraic and non-local. It consists of many isomorphic distinguishable qubits with Clifford-Wilczek statistics and spin h̄/2, having a Clifford algebra with 6N generators as algebra of observables. The quantum imaginary ih̄ arises as the vacuu...

Chronon corrections to the Dirac equation

The Dirac equation is not semisimple. We therefore regard it as a contraction of a simpler decontracted theory. The decontracted theory is necessarily purely algebraic and non-local. In one simple model the algebra is a Clifford algebra with 6N generators. The quantum imaginary h̄i is the contraction of a dynamical variable whose back-reaction provides the Dirac mass. The simplified Dirac equati...
